Upper shelf: Styrofoam cup with flowers from Hisae's garden, re-pottable "European garden" from Ted, Alissa, Ian and Amy, yellow roses from Ruth, Kaarel, Sara and Annie, amaryllis bulb from Hisae, Pink roses from Rosemarie and Frank, floral arrangement from Terry; lower shelf: white flowers whose name escapes me from Trifina and Zeni, red ones from Millie.

Jamie's pretty satisfied with the way things are working out.

Jamie will happily hold still for quarter-second exposures.

I think this was a half-second exposure, and the blur is probably my own unsteady hand. Jamie just loves to stare at things.

Jamie listens to a South African accent for the first time.

Jamie could stand on his dad's foot, with a lot of room left over.

Jamie naps while his parents make dinner.

Thirty seconds ago, he was sound asleep. Ten seconds ago, he was screaming his outrage at being naked to the cold air. Now, he's listening happily to his dad singing "Rubber Duckie".

The bath is like the womb, but with added spa services.

At a certain point in each bath, Jamie will cross his eyes and pucker his lips. I will ask him why when he is a little older.

I was dreaming that Jamie had started speaking on his second day and was much smarter than me. I don't know what Jamie was dreaming of.

Another morning waking up to the annoying paparazzi.

Yawning? Latching? Yawning.

Gas? Smiling at Dad? I choose to believe "Smiling at Dad".

Don't mess with Jamie.

Having a latte with Alison, like a normal person (except for the baby).
