1624: Lived at Hog(g) Island, opposite Jamestown, granted one rood, nine poles near his house in James City, was York County Justice. Is mentioned in the 1624 Jamestown census entry for his servant Roger Delk, who came aboard the Southampton and was recorded on 1624-02-04.

1636: Granted 1200 acres in Charles River (later York) County.

1639/40 01 17: Mentioned in father's will.

1642-1644: Burgess of York County.

1644-1650: Moved for a while to Anne Arundel Co., Maryland following a Puritan massacre.

1652: York County Justice.

Maryland Genealogies 975.2 M369 V.1: inherited 500-acre "Yarrow" and 500-acre "Yarrow head" on north side of Potomac in Prince George Co., 450-acre "Sanetley" and "Chew's Meadows" on west side of the Patuxent (Rent Rolls, Calvert and Prince George's Counties). Before 1756 but after his second marriage, moved to Alexandria, Virginia.

According to JCC 15407, his sons Henry, Joseph and Samuel took some of their father's horses and slaves and moved south.
