The Society of the War of 1812 in Virginia performed a grave marking ceremony for him at the Masonic Cemetery in Fredericksburg, VA on 2003-07-07. At the time, Trip Wiggin, President of the Rappahannock Colonial Heritage Society and Mike Lyman prepared a brief biography which is the source for JWC's middle initial, and information about his siblings-in-law. He is mentioned by Jett (see RBC 14139), who says his will was dated 1837-10-11 and bequeathed his property to his sisters PCC 15076, AC 15078, EC 15084, MC 15092, CMC 15096, brothers TC 15081, RC 15087, BC 15071, and nephew Cadwallader W.
