Unit incorporated into Stuart Horse Artillery of the Army of Northern Virginia, became Major and 2IC of that unit 1864-02-27. Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on 1865-02-18. Served in West Virginia legislature 1882-1888. Son-in-law of John Augustine Washington. Lived at what is now called Chew House, 512 S. George Street, Charles Town.
