Came to America in 1630 as an apprentice to his future father-in-law. Also had sons James (1655 08 28 Watertown MA - 1690 12 02 Groton MA, m. Hannah Barron 1678 06 14) and Daniel (1659 11 27 Watertown MA, m. Mary Green).

1668: Sold six acres of land in Watertown and five acres of meadow in Cambridge, moved to Groton.

1680 06 08: Surveyor of Groton.

1685: Constable of Groton.

Vital Records of Groton, Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England, Genealogies of the Families and Descendents of the Early Settlers of Watertown and Representative Men and Old Families of Rhode Island all list five children: Joseph, James, Issac, Abigail and Stephen. Might also have had a sons named William M. (m. Sarah Ridley?) and Benjamin (1707-1788 11 01, m. Elizabeth Church 1733 11 24); especially if they were born in Killingly.

1702/03: Sold property at Groton, bought 150 acres at Killingly (RMOFRI).
