[...] Uncle Dick also acquired a house in Jamestown [RI], as did of course, [his brother] Rob. So Jamestown is rather special in our family's history. [...] Uncle Dick died in Philadelphia."

Is the Dick "Sailor" Chew who is chronicled in Earle Looker's book, The White House Gang, about the antics of Theodore Roosevelt's son Quentin Roosevelt and his group of friends.
